Over is period we have seen the fish go totally mad up to spawning and then playing hard to get as the dry warm weather came in but some good fish have still been caught, and it is picking up again now as the low pressure and rain moves in,  Charlotte has been landed at just over 40lb this week spawned right out that is 2.5lb heavier than last year after spawning so dose she go to 48+ next year watch this space.

At the end of April after some quiet days Gideon Bell was finally rewarded for his patience with the stunning Tiger Fish at 27.12!!!! What a fish... well done mate :)  

 Chris Connaughton had one hell of a trip  ending up  with 14 fish!!!!! And if two cracking 30's at the start of the trip weren't enough while packing up this morning he had one final take resulting in the Mint Common at 30.14!!!!! What can i say apart from very well done indeed mate :) then the fishing really picked up and the Big girls came out to play with Leigh Short and the mighty Dropscale at 36.12!!!!!!!!  and 3 Scales at 31.08!!! They are going proper dark with the weed this year :)

Lee-Roy Philips !!!!!!!!! 3 30's IN A DAY!!!!!!!!!! :) :)  Wow!!!! What a mad 24h it's been for Lee he's bagged no less than 8 fish from the Point swim including Blackspot at 35lb Orange Spot at 35lb a 31.08, 4x 20's & a 18!!!!!! :) Well done mate!!

Then they spawned and we closed both lakes ( Many thanks to those disappointed anglers and holiday guest for being so understanding regarding the welfare of our Carp.)

Willow Lake also had a good run of fish prior to Spawning with several angles having good sport, these fish are packing on the weight now.

Tony and some friends had a go on Copes Lake and a good run of carp where landed including a carp stocked at 27lb coming out at 30lb that make two 30lb fish in Copes ( Opens 2017)

Just a reminder about rod license's the EA have been up here doing checks booking three anglers, and will be back so make sure you are up to date, two licenses to fish three rods, you have been warned, and they did come back but the lake was closed so expect them again soon.

All the garden are looking wonderful at the moment with all the shrubs out in flower so do take a walk around and enjoy all that we have to offer.

Our holiday lodges are booking up fast along with the fishing so get in before they are all let.
