Well April has been a fantastic month here at Furzebray with some stunning fish landed. Myself and Alfie got a couple of nights in and managed 4 bites landing 3 of them, the best was the leather at 25lb and Alfies PB at 18lb 8oz. Chris Gillard did 48hr and banked 2 20lb+ mirrors from the Point swim. Anjie Hubard landed a stunning 28lb mirror from the Brambles and on the same weekend Mike Leach had a 26lb+ & 2x 24lb mirrors from the inlet.

Tony Gregory had a fantastic trip fishing Jezzers landing fish of 30.06lb, 30.04lb, 28.04lb, & 2 low twenties, Tom Colingridge had 4 fish, 2 from the Lawns and then two more from the Brambles 27.04lb & 24.o8lb. Martin Cox popped up for a couple of nights and after a slow start managed 2 fish of 25&16.12lb from the Aquarium. This last two weeks has seen Charlotte on the bank at a very impressive 40lb 8oz by Wayne Pinfield, she has packed it on since she was last out so there should be some other very big fish waiting to be caught. Still no sign of Peanut!!!! how big????. Willow has been fishing very well over the last month with one angler landing 14 fish to just over twenty pound. Luke Davies and his niece Chloe had 4 on a quick overnight to 17lb from the pen.

Furzebray Boilies working well on both lakes as well as Sticky baits and pellets. This last week has just seen on of the best catches made at Furzebray Jay Thomas here for a week with two mates landed 31 fish between them and Jay landing 18 of them, the best was Drop scale at 31.10, 3 Scales 29.13 The Random linier 27.14, a 27.04 mirror, & Two Tone at 26.12 + 7 other 20+ mirrors this will take some beating. Leigh Short landed 9 including the Mint Common at 29+/Sovereign at 28.08lb and Star at 28.04lb
