Swim 1
Swim 1 is in the north east corner of the lake, it is a small swim but can be very productive especially when the prevailing south westerly wind is
blowing, drawing the carp down the lake into this food rich corner
of the lake. This swim offers a lake margin, weed and lily pads
to fish to.. |
 |
Swim 2
This swim covers a bit more of the lake than swim 1. It is at the shallower end of the lake and has reed covered bars and far margins to fish
to. The Carp in this lake love to roam around the bar
located at about 30 yards, which offers comfortable range
fishing for the angler.. |
 |
Swim 3
This swim has several features in its lake area, there is a small bay to the right with snags and weed, reed covered bars and margins all providing excellent hiding places for the
specimen carp. This swim offers the carp angler a little bit
more of the lake to spread their wings... |
 |
Swim 4
There is slightly deeper water out in front of this swim, and this
includes the sunken island, which is covered by lilies. Also there are several snags
in this swim to hold the fish as well. |
 |
Swim 5 (the inlet)
As the name suggests this is where one of the main springs comes
into the lake, which offers the carp in the lake a good level of oxygenated
water. This is a great little swim with the main snag island in front of you and bars going left and right. |
 |
Swim 6 (the point)
A network of channels meet in front of this swim to the right of the pads making it a great spot to ambush the
specimen carp. Also there are several bars and lots of lilies to fish
to... |
 |
Swim 7
As with the point swim there are lots of pads in this swim and a nice shallow plateau, as well as good margins down to the
right, offer quality short range fishing for the ambush carp
angler.. |
 |
Swim 8 (the overflow)
This is a cracking swim with lots of features, there is a bay to the left and the emergency overflow with overhanging trees. In front of the swim there
are reed covered
bars located at about 25 yards into the lake... |
 |
Swim 9
The first of the platform swims is right in front of the main island, and offers fishing to the marginal shelves and the deepest part of the lake to the left. |
 |
Swim 10 (the lifebuoy)
Again some of the deepest water lies to the right of this swim some 10ft to 12ft deep. The big island also runs down in front of you with its
lily covered bar running down off the end. |

Pads Pool
This was the first lake we built in 1991, it was stocked with 30
leaney dink strain carp which have since bred very well with the lake now home to hundreds of carp. Also present in the lake
are rudd, perch and koi carp.
The lake is very mature and has two islands and lots of pads.
There are two swims on the lake one each side of the island, offering fishing to the island margins and pads. |
